The HOTELEX Shanghai is a leading trade show of hospitality and catering industry. The exhibit categories including catering equipment, tableware, coffee & tea, food & beverage, bakery, ice cream, wine & spirits, and catering accessories. After 28 years of accumulation and development, the scale of the exhibition and the influence of the industry have reached a world-class level. The HOTELEX Shanghai 2019 covered 230,000 m² exhibiting space with 2,567 domestic and overseas exhibitors from Italy, Spain, the United States, Germany, Japan, and other countries and regions. During the 4 days exhibition, there were 159,267 professional buyers, distributors and agents from the hotel and catering industry have visited the HOTELEX Shanghai 2019, with an increase of 8.88% over the same period of last year. Visitors were from 123 countries and regions around the world, including 5,502 overseas visitors.

7 professional forums and 19 industry events and performances had been held during the HOTELEX 2019, focusing on the frontier topics in the hotel and catering industry, delivering trend products and new ideas for the entire industry, discussing new products and business opportunities. The coffee championships series authorized by World Coffee Events has always been the eye-catching scenery at HOTELEX and attracted a big amount of visitors. The coffee championships including China Barista Championship, China Latte Art Championship, China Cup Tasters Championship, China Coffee Roasting Championship, and China Brewers Cup. In addition, other exciting competitions such as 2020 HOTELEX “the Rising Star” Chef Competition, Shanghai Pizza Master Competition, World Bread Contest, China Master Bartender Competition, and CLW Patisserie Elite Competition also will be held to make great contributions on attracting visitors from different sectors. On the purpose of propelling industry development, the show also dedicated to launching industry forums targeting customized industry solutions, having experienced speakers share business stories and operation strategies.
Shanghai Coffee & Foodie Festival
The Shanghai Coffee & Foodie Festival, which would be held at the same time in the exhibition, relied on the exhibition platform to create a coffee & gourmet show. It’s an exciting market that had more than 100 specialty cafes and popular street foods, which allowed visitors to enjoy coffee and foods from all over the world in one place.
The HOTELEX Shanghai 2020 will be held on 29 March – 1 April 2020. Compared with last year's exhibition, the HOTELEX 2020 will continue to improve soft power and focusing on service and will try to create an attractive exhibition environment that provides an interactive experience for visitors.
