China as one of the largest packaging production and consumption country, its packaging industry is facing challenges of depletion and environmental pollution arisen form rapid industrial development. The "12th Five-Year Plan" has stipulated that for the packaging industry, more effort will be put on low carbon emission and green packaging, hence to advocate new technologies to promote energy-saving and to enhance resource utilization levels.
The adjustment of the China packaging industry will focus on several areas, including reduction of energy consumption in production, improvement in product quality, increase product variety and competitiveness for the industry growth and sustainability. The government will give more attention to the import of mid to high- ended packaging raw materials and equipment. From 2011 to 2015, the packaging industry output value is expected to reach RMB 600 billions, with an annual growth rate of 6%. By 2015, the number of packaging machineries will reach 1.2 million sets.
Growing with the market trend and development, The 19th China International Exhibition on Packaging Machinery & Materials (Sino-Pack 2012) and The 16th China International Exhibition on Brewery, Beverage and Liquid Packaging (China Drinktec 2012) to be staged at China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex (Area A), Guangzhou, PR China during 7-9 March 2012, will introduce a range of stunning activities featuring hot topics on Green, Environmental-friendly and Low-Carbon technologies.
A Record Breaking Scale
Sino-Pack / China Drinktec 2012 is expected to reach a record-breaking scale, with an exhibition area exceeding 30,000 sq.m. It will further divide into International Hall, Beverage Packaging Industry Hall and General Packaging Hall. Over 400 local and overseas renowned exhibitors will showcase their latest equipment and products under one roof, catering for the general packaging, food, beverage, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, bottled water and other end-products industries. Renowned exhibitors include Schmalz, Omori Changkong, Shanghai Macwell, Qingdao SongBen, Rui Ji Jin Hong, Packmate, ShengBaiWei, Hangzhou Youngsun, Hualian, Xutia, Gurki, Oceanpower, GuangDong Shicheng, XinLe Huabao, ZheJiang ZhongCheng and any much more.
Promoting Green Packaging, Leading a Better Future
Responding to "12th Five-Year Plan" on the importance of environmental protection and advocates local enterprises to build an environment-friendly society, Sino-Pack / China Drinktec 2012 will actively promote eco-friendly packaging in the show. Symposia will be held concurrently with the participation of experts and enterprises to share topics related to energy conservation and green packaging. Various green exhibits will be showcased during the exhibition as well.
The Last Edition Achieved Prosperous Results
The last edition, Sino-Pack /China Drinktec 2011 was joined by a list of renowned exhibitors from over 14 countries/regions to showcase their latest products, including international giant BOSCH, the world's largest beverage production company KHS, the world's largest injection molding company Kraussmaffei.
 
Over 40 trade associations organized delegations to the expo, coming from different cities & provinces of China. The number of visitors was further boosted by the attendance of delegation groups from Russia, India and Vietnam. It successfully attracted trade visitors from 102 countries and regions with a remarkable visitor attendance of 21,760.
Collaborating with the concurrent events 18th Printing South China and Sino-Label 2011, the 4-in-1 expo was well-attended by 47,312 visitors in total. The stunning record has further enables Sino-Pack /China Drinktec to grow as one of the largest and most influential packaging and beverage technology exhibition in China.
Furthermore, buyers from over 50 renowned enterprises including China Union Chempharma, Siemens, Guangzhou Bright Dairy, P&G, Hsu Fu Chi, L'Oreal, Dupont, Coca Cola, Swire Group, Master Kong, Lee Kum Kee, etc. also came to visit and source at Sino-Pack / China Drinktec 2011.
Sino-Pack / China Drinktec is located at an important city of China's packaging and beverage industry - Guangzhou, with its developed traffic network to attract industry professionals from entire country to participate in the exhibition.
