350 exhibitors and more than 30,000 visitors expected at 19th iran food + bev tec from 20 – 23 May 2012

Increasing numbers in exhibitors as well as in visitors are expected by the organisers for next year’s iran food + bev tec. The 19th International Food, Beverage + Packaging Technology Trade Fair will be held under the auspices of the Iranian ministry of agriculture and is organised by Palar Samaneh of Tehran and fairtrade of Germany. The event is scheduled for 20 to 23 May 2012 at the Tehran International Fairgrounds.

The organisers expect to echo the success of iran food + bec tec in 2012. Monika Schaedel, senior project manager with fairtrade, is very optimistic to enhance the number of exhibitors up to 350. Schaedel further: “We estimate more than 30,000 visitors, with a high share of professionals. The Iranian food technology market is the most important one for major international players with interest in the Middle East region. Exporters of food and beverage processing equipment always use to make good business in Iran” 

The UFI approved event again focusses on production of material and technology for baking, beverage production, confectionery, dairy processing, egg processing, fruit and vegetable processing, laboratory equipment, meat processing, noodle processing, packaging and refrigeration. Claiming to be the leading trade show for the country’s food and beverage industry, the event is the ideal venue for both, foreign exporters and Iranian food producers looking to upgrade their production facilities.

To create valuable synergies for exhibitors and trade visitors alike, iran food + bev tec 2012 will again take place concurrently with “iran food + hospitality” (with 462 exhibitors from 20 countries in 2011) and “iran agro” (121 exhibitors from 7 countries in 2011), the three dedicated events building the frame of “iran agrofood 2012” with altogether 896 exhibitors in 2011. According to official figures of the IIEC Iran International Exhibition Co., 31,831 visitors had been registered for the three events iran agro, iran food + hospitality and iran food + bev tec in 2011.
